Mandala series paintings

Phase 1

The earliest stage of these series of paintings is more conceptual and ritual. There is an ancient, mysterious closed circle that countless tellings of myth and folklores have mentioned. The purpose of Mandala pattern is to draw a protective trench around the core of the human being, to keep spirits all together and to protect spirits from external disturbances. To conclude, people will be in a barrier-free environment that is clean and pure, and will abandon all disorders. 

Phase 2

People are mandalas. 

Our body are Mandalas. 

Our internal emotional and psychological changes are also mandalas.

Mandala flowers blossom when our hearts are open. At the same time, everything perceivable around us, subtle energies and events that have not yet been perceived, constitute the elements of mandala. The structure and design of mandala represent both the external visualized world and the inner spiritual world. The power derives from the interaction between the world and one’s spirits.

The centre of mandala is not only about the concept of space, but also about the concept of time. The center of time is “now”; one’s presence is the center of mandala, which is also the center of his/her experience and the center of his North, South, East and West.

Mandala is also the center of eternal potential. From this inexhaustible source, all seeds grow and develop, all cells realize their functions.  Mandala is the unity of life and consciousness.

Mandala appears when we have inner confusion and is a natural way to restore balance and order. It forms, changes and recreates. The internal and external are always changing, mutually penetrating.
