Initially captivated by Western philosophy and psychology, Miss Cui Fenghua intellectual journey took a pivotal turn upon encountering the works of Carl Gustav Jung. Jung's interpretations of the Taoist text "The Secret of the Golden Flower" (Chinese: 太乙金華宗旨; pinyin: Tàiyǐ Jīnhuá Zōngzhǐ) rekindled her connection with Oriental Taoism. This seminal work, an amalgamation of Taoist, Buddhist, and Confucian elements, focuses on neidan (inner alchemy) meditation.

Whether in her creative process or daily life, she acknowledges that Western art history has profoundly liberated her mind and spirit, making her fearless. On the other hand, Oriental philosophy guides her to establish boundaries and reminds her to rigorously adhere to the laws of nature, submitting herself to the Tao.

Her two paintings titled "Facial Meridians"  resembles a cosmetic contouring procedure on canvas, akin to automatic drawings of Qi flow. The face serves as one of the many microcosms within the body, offering insights into its internal mechanisms.  Always filled with mindfulness, this painting series revolves around the recovery and healing of her body and spirit, accompanied by a continuous and habitual self-awareness of her breath and consciousness.
